This article is not written to try and convince you that an Airsoft shotgun is better than all other Airsoft gun out there. I’m basically going to state why I feel the Airsoft shotgun is more effective than your regular Airsoft sniper rifles or machine guns. If you have been playing Airsoft for quite some time now, you understand how mobility is an important factor in a game of Airsoft.
This brings me to my first reason on why I choose an Airsoft shotgun over any other Airsoft weapon. The shotgun is not as bulky as a sniper rifle or a machine gun but is just at the right size to sling it around your shoulders while you can carry another weapon like an Airsoft sub-machine gun. The size of the shotgun allows you to carry freely and won’t obstruct your movement in a game. This is a key factor to the shotgun.
Second, the Airsoft shot gun has a good kill radius, with one shot you can take out multiple enemies. There are some Airsoft shotgun multi shot features that allow you to continually fire without reloading for up to 8 rounds. The auto loading of some shotgun is perfect for urban Airsoft battles and close quarter fire-fight. A gas powered Airsoft shot gun provides more of a kick compared to an electric shotgun but it all depends on your preference and how you play.
In conclusion, I would rather choose an Airsoft shotgun over any Airsoft gun because of two key features, move ability & firing capability. In the game of Airsoft you will always need to be on your toes and firing. If you can move as fast as the other player or reload as quickly as your opponent, you will not last long in the fast pace game of Airsoft!
