Despite the fact that Asus is regarded as the pioneer manufacturer of mini netbooks and best laptops, Acer is such as reliable due to its gradual self establishment as a promising competitor of Asus and its new line of Eee series. Acer’s pride, the pink Acer Aspire One AOA150-1690 8.9 inches netbook was included in the 2009 bestselling mini notebooks online, which up to now still shows no signs of decline.
There are numerous, at least 5, notebook manufacturers and companies that are now producing and marketing pink laptops. However, the distinction between those brands is still clear and noticeable. The most obvious difference amongst them is the shades of pink that they use on their laptops. While Asus laptops for sale use different shades of pink from darker to mostly light and baby pink colors, the pink Acer Aspire One AOA150 takes pride in its darker pink shade. Although not completely colored because of white covering on its frame and its keyboard sides, its outer casing compliments it all due to its glossy pink surface with the Acer logo discreetly placed on one of its corners.
For me I think it would have been better if such device was entirely covered with pink, but then again it may not look that pleasant in the eye anymore. Well, this particular Acer model may look girly and delicate, but it is pretty tough when it comes to computer efficiency and functionality.
Acer AOA150-1690 runs using a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor and has 1GB of RAM capacity which is upgradeable to up to 2 GB. It also runs on Windows XP Home Edition, has wi-fi connectivity with built-in webcam which is perfect for video conferences. It has a 160 GB hard drive and a 3-cell battery which last for about 2.5 hours on a single full charge. If you want its battery to last longer, you can always upgrade to a 6 cell battery which has twice the power capacity.
