Whether your a teenager looking to make a little extra money or even a childcare professional who babysits for a living, you’re not going to make dime without first advertising your services and making babysitting flyers is probably still one of the best methods for achieving this.
Babysitting flyers are so easy to make; you can either make them on your own computer using various software applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, etc. or if you don’t mind spending a little extra money, you can instead get a printing and design company to print you off some really great looking babysitting flyers. Either way, you should aim to get at least a few dozen copies that you can post around the area where you live or don’t mind traveling to.
So now that you have the basic idea of how to create a babysitting flyer, you need to think about what should go on it. Firstly, put your first name or the name of your business. An alternative to this is creating a catchy title like “Professional Babysitter Available”, then putting your name right below it. You should also include the general location where you live as well as your availability for each day of the week.
Other information your should include on your flyers is how many years of experience you have babysitting. If you don’t yet have any experience, I strongly advise you first get some by babysitting your siblings or nephews, nieces, etc. This is a critical point as parents will unlikely be willing let you care for their kids without any prior experience!
Aside from experience list any other qualifications you might have that make you a better babysitter. This might include a child CPR certificate or a successfully completed childcare course. You can also include your expected babysitting hourly rate of pay.
Last but most important, leave a way for them to contact you, otherwise you won’t be getting many calls. Finally, print out your babysitting flyers and post them everywhere. Happy babysitting!
