Backpack Purse Styles

June 22, 2010

Backpack purses make great gifts and come in an assortment of styles and price levels. Some of the nicer bags come from Tony Perotti, who makes fine Italian leather bags and gifts. His claim is that his leather is eco-friendly and his leather comes from small regions in Italy where the leather is tanned using vegetable-tanning methods and is earth-friendly and uses no toxic chemicals in the process. Two of his nicer backpack purses are the Imperia Italian Backpack and the Florentina backpack.

The Florentina is the larger of the two and comes with a small front pocket and a front zip around compartment to hold small items. The two straps are adjustable and reach 35 inches in length. The interior compartments are covered with a top flap to keep things inside. The look of the purse is a rich cognac color and is soft to the touch and easy to wear.

The Imperia is a slightly triangle shape and is not as big around as the Florentina, but it has a zippered expandable front that extends the interior size of the purse. It has a deep center compartment and is also covered over the top by a flap that fits over the purse. It too, is a rich brown in color, but is slightly more rigid than the Florentina and not as soft-sided.

Either purse would be a great addition to a women’s wardrobe as each speaks of class and distinction. The soft eco-leather makes a statement of quality, but not at the expense of the environment and leather will hold up for many years with a little care and kind treatment.

Some women feel that a backpack purse is a bag that only teenagers would use, but a quick look at either of these two purses would prove that feeling incorrect as any women would be envious to own these fine Italian bags.
