The other day I was driving my son to school when I saw something awful. A teenager had managed to drive up onto the expressway with his gas powered scooter and no one had stopped him. Well, unfortunately, 50cc gas scooters aren’t meant to be driven on roads with speed limits above fifty and this kid was quickly run off the road. If you want to drive fast with your gas powered scooters that’s fine but you can’t expect the tiny motors in those things to match the power of a diesel engine or a V-6.

So, in the future, please remember to stay off of the highways with your gas powered scooters because even though they may be fun and a good way to get around small towns and city streets they are extremely dangerous when driven around those of us who drive fast moving automobiles.

Before your child reaches the age of sixteen and is legally able to drive your car around he’s going to need a method of transportation. I don’t know about you but I’m not a big fan of driving my child around to everywhere he wants to go. He’s got too many friends in too many places and I’ve got a lot of work to do. I figured what I would do is get him a kids gas powered scooter for his birthday so that he could ride around to all of his friends in our area and give him some added independence.
