Are you looking for the best way to potty train a puppy? If so, here are some puppy potty training tips to help you get started:

Potty training for dogs refers to teaching your dog (older adult dog or puppy) where it is permissible to do his business. Although the traditional meaning was to teach your dog to do his business outside and not inside, the term dog potty training could also refer to teaching your dog to wee and poop at a specific location indoors in cases where it is not possible or practical to let the dog outside. I also know of dog owners that teach their dogs to do their business in a specific area of the garden.

Why go to all the trouble of potty training dogs? Good hygiene, reducing unpleasant smells and facilitating easy cleanup of the mess are the three most obvious reasons. The only time that you would not need to make potty training your dog an essential part of your dog training is when your dog is kept in a place where it makes no difference where he does his business i.e. in a small enclosed area that gets cleaned regularly (like breeding kennels) or outside permanently and not being allowed indoors at all. In the last case, dog house training might still be required; especially if the dog does have access to paved areas or verandas where you don’t want them to do their business.

Dog toilet training, like any other dog training is based on a couple of simple principles:

Show the dog what is expected, don’t tell them. Catch them in the act, scold gently when behaviour is wrong and praise enthusiastically when they get it right. Do this with patience, repeating the steps as often as required and be persistent, and your dog will be house trained in no time flat.

Potty training a puppy or a dog must be the least likable and most messy aspect of dog training. It is however an evil necessity and fortunately is does not take long to achieve the desired results. Once done, it normally does not have to be repeated for the specific dog, so you can leave that behind you until the next puppy arrives.

A lot of families promise to take their children to see Walt Disney World at some point in their youth. The thing is, do you want to be carrying your little one around in your arms or having them walk and then complaining of little tired legs? No, I thought not! Walt Disney is aware of this and so they have made allowances for parents of small children to permit them to enter this exciting place with their stroller, though they have some terms and conditions. So here is all you need to know regarding stroller advice and Walt Disney World.

•    When it comes to Walt Disney World transportation from your hotel via their bus, all strollers must be folded prior to boarding so you will want to consider this rule when deciding which stroller to take with you.
•    Disney has allocated areas for parking your stroller however, if need be a member of staff may move your stroller to another location to make space for hundreds of other baby strollers.
•    Certain dining establishments will allow you to bring your stroller into the dining area which is particularly handy if baby is sleeping. However, some do not allow this.
•    You are not allowed to bring your stroller into the baby care centers – they must be parked outside.
•    Invest in a rain cover – rain can and does happen! The last thing you want is not to be prepared for changeable weather and a rain cover is something that is easily portable – just fold it and pop it into the stroller basket.
•    Pack everything in the one backpack – such as baby changing gear, snacks, drinks, camera, wallet etc. That way when you have to leave your stroller unattended you don’t need to worry about forgetting something important behind or having something expensive stolen on you.

The above stroller advice is something that even the most organized of parents can easily miss. There are so many things to think of when planning a holiday or trip and even more so when you factor in small children. Heeding this advice can help you have a much more fun and relaxed holiday. Enjoy!
