How To Beat A Dilaudid Addiction

December 6, 2009

I can really feel for the person who has to take drugs for pain. I have been there myself in fact I take non narcotic pain relievers now. Here is one way people become addicted to drugs they start out taking them to relieve the pain and then one day they find they are hurting a little worse than usual so they increase there dose and find that they are no longer in pain. This is how addiction to prescription drugs like Dilaudid begins. What happens is the person using this drug or any other begins to build up a tolerance to it. What this means is that it will take more and more to get the desired effect. When this occurs I would have to say it is the beginning of a Dilaudid addiction.

I know that Diludid is prescribed for moderate to severe pain and it is frequently used in emergency rooms to help relieve pain. I know this because I have been given it a few times when I was hurting. The key to not becoming addicted is to be aware and if you are reading this and realize that you are on the verge of a Dilaudid addiction then I would suggest that you talk this over with your prescribing physician. They can advise you of what to do. Do not play around or you will become a full blown drug addict.

Now for those of you who know that you have a problem I would also suggest that you get help. This can be done by looking for a drug rehab in your area. It will require action on your part. Once you find one give them a call and tell them how you have been abusing Dilaudid. They can set you up to come to rehab and be medically detoxed from Dilaudid. This procedure is not as painful as you may have been led to believe in fact you will be made quite comfortable.

Now when you are done detoxing I would recommend that you continue your recovery in residential treatment if you wish to remain clean when you leave rehab. This should be enough information for any one to get clean and stop using drugs.
