Taking pride in your yard can do more than just enhance its appearance, it can create a safer place to be. Sidewalks and walkways can be slippery at night, especially if the sprinklers have been on recently. The danger becomes more real when you have visitors who are unfamiliar with your home’s layout. Path lights can be employed to create the perfect walking environment at night. The solar powered models are easy t install and provide ample amounts of illumination. These systems consist of a series of light modules which border each side of a path to light the way.

GT Max makes a sleek looking set of solar powered step lights that install easily. On top of the light mounts is a small solar panel which absorbs sunlight and turns it into electrical energy. The energy is sent to a rechargeable battery pack which powers the light at night. These batteries can last about two years before needing replacement. Because they are solar powered, no wiring or electrical work is necessary. If desired, these lights can become flush mounts if installed permanently in fresh-poured concrete.

At night, these light turn on by themselves using a light sensor and stay on for up to ten hours. The bright white LED light bulbs provide enough light so you can see where you’re going, but not too much as to blind you. The plastic mounts are weather and corrosion resistant. Users can access the battery for replacement by removing the top cover. The LED light bulbs have a practically unlimited lifespan, saving you money in the long run. Multiple packs can be used to provide coverage to long walkways. For an added effect, they can be installed vertically on steps. GT Max includes a ground stake with each light for in-ground use. In addition, the GT Max lights can be used as driveway lighting.
