Having an Effective Jewelry Display

August 12, 2010

Having effective jewelry displays is the first step to make your jewelry business successful. When looking for a jewelry display, you would need to find something that is beautiful but simple enough that it wouldn’t take the attention off the jewelry pieces. There are several kinds of jewelry displays available, and which one you should use depends on the kind of jewelry that you are selling.

RING DISPLAYS

There are different types of ring displays, and one of the most used type is the ring finger which is actually shaped liked a finger with a base under it. This kind of ring displays are great for holding rings with large stones, as there is no limit to the size of rings that this display can accommodate. If you are the type who needs to travel to reach clients, then a ring tray would suit you best. Some ring tray can hold up to eighteen rings, while some can only hold five.

NECKLACE DISPLAY

There are also several designs when it comes to necklace displays. There are the larger necklace busts which are great for displaying necklaces with pendants. The chain board on the other hand can be used for holding necklace chains, but your customer wouldn’t be able to see the real beauty of the necklace as it’s not spread out like in necklace bust.

BRACELET DISPLAY

Bracelets are much simpler to display. One of the designs for bracelet designs is the hump, which is shaped like a half circle for holding the bracelet. This design is great for case displays, but not if you have to carry the jewelries around. The bracelet ramp is more ideal for the travelling businessman, as if has locks on each end to hold the bracelet.

PENDANT BOARDS

Pendants are sometimes sold separately from the necklace, and you can display them separately by using pendant boards.  As with the other displays listed above, the pendant board usually comes in two colors which are black and white. I suggest buying the black ones, as the dark color would make the jewelries appear brighter, making them more attractive. Black also doesn’t get dirty, unlike white which you would need to wash often.

RISER SETS

Placing jewelries in risers gives your clients to compare each piece, as the jewelries seats close to each other. They can also be used for selling a jewelry set, so your client could see how each piece of jewelry compliments each other. Most riser sets comes in 6 pieces, although some manufacturers makes lesser or more than this.
