Health Insurance is becoming one of the topics most talk about in our society today, aside from the Tiger Woods incident. Health Care costs are though the roof and continue to rise each year.
I am not sure at what point do we say enough, and start to see something done from our elected officials. It’s like the cost of gas getting over five dollars a gallon and then Congress deciding to say this is out of hand. What I am paying to my Health Insurance agency is the second biggest expense in my budget next to my mortgage. How are we to save money for our future when most of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck?
Every time I watch a commercial for some new drug with five different side affects I am wondering should they have to show all these commercials to tell me about a drug that potential could be more painful than the original system I had in the first place. Its cost quite a bit of money to make these commercials and if I really need that drug to help with what ever is going on with me I will trust my doctor to make that decision not the commercial. My wife works in a doctor office as a nurse, and she see first hand how much waste is involved with pharmaceuticals drugs when the drug reps’ stop buy and wine and dine the doc’s to push their drug. Ultimately the end user is paying for all that not the drug company, and they like to have these specialty drugs that cost an arm and a leg to purchase each month, why not look to come up with a drug that most Americans can afford. If we as a Nation do nothing about Health Care at this point in our lives it will only be worse off when our kids start having kids.
