John Easterling, also known by the nickname, Amazon John, is the founder of the company Amazon Herbs. Easterling’s involvement with the Amazon rainforests began more than thirty years ago in the 1970’s when he was a young man who originally went down to the rain forest seeking ancient artifacts and other valuables. He didn’t end up finding a hidden supply of gold or a treasure chest full of jewels, but what he did discover on his trip down to the rain forest was something much more valuable to his life. It all started when just a couple of weeks into one of his trips, Easterling was struck down with illness and subsequently had a moment of transformation that forever changed the course of his life.
In 1972, John Easterling lay in a hospital suffering from both Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Hepatitis. The doctors tried their very best to treat him, but he never got one hundred percent better. On his future trips to the rainforest he started becoming more acquainted with the native people of the Amazon rain forest and learned their traditions. As Easterling adapted their practices, including eating their food and treating himself with the natural herbs of the forest, he noticed that his health started to improve dramatically. As Easterling fully realized the power and healing capabilities of the thousands of plants throughout the rain forest, he was inspired to start Amazon Herb Company.
John Easterling’s most famous product is a drink called Zamu. Zamu is formulated from organic ingredients straight from the Amazon. It combines the amazing powers of acai berry and other ingredients that promote good health, with the Camu Camu fruit, which in renowned for it’s disease fighting and anti-aging properties. For years Amazon Herb Company’s products were only offered through alternative health practitioners. Over the years, though, thousands of satisfied patients have spread the word about the products, increasing demand, and thus, making them more widely available. They can now be ordered from the Amazon Herb website.
