Ladies Leather Gloves Are Four Season Functional!

January 21, 2010

When you’re looking for the right pair of ladies leather gloves for yourself or as a gift (and they make great gifts!) there are few important details that need your attention before you buy:

Size Matters!

Well, maybe not always, but when it comes to gloves, there’s no one size fits all. Measuring your hands is a must so here’s how you do it:

Wrap a tape measure around your knuckles, leaving out the thumb.

If you get 6 inches or less, you’re as extra small (x-small)
6.5 inches is a women’s small.
7 inches equal a woman’s medium
7.5 inches is a womens large
8 inches is an extra large (x-large)

Lining Options

Warm weather or spring ladies leather gloves and womens driving gloves have various lining options from unlined suede gloves which look amazing in fun spring colors like lavender and pink there’s also silk lined womens gloves and of course cooler weather designs that are fleece, cashmere, wool and knit lined for warmth.

Length

Your gloves can be wrist, elbow and even shoulder length. Look for stretchy, thin leather, opera or near shoulder length, fingerless styles for spring and summer in whites, creams and yellows to really set off your evening warm weather cocktail dresses.
Don’t forget the details!

Along with the obvious style choices like color and length and the practical option of warmer or cooler weather linings, there are also many details to choose from such as buttons – but not just buttons – pearl buttons, rhinestone buttons, hook closures, metal buttons and even snaps! There’s zippers, contrasting stitching, geometric patterns and animal prints. The details are the greatest part of ladies leather gloves because not only are there a dizzying amount of choices, they’re also the thing that makes each pair unique and thus, helps to make the sophisticated, chic, trendy woman that’s wearing them even more unique.
