Traditional Liposuction vs Laser Liposuction

May 5, 2010

One of the recent popular technique in losing fats is called laser liposuction. It is a new procedure that uses laser technology to help patients contour their body in the most convenient and painless way. In fact, this new technique is so popular that you can see laser liposuction in London to Dubai.

One of the main attraction of this new liposuction procedure is the reduced physical insertions that have to be made. For traditional liposuction, the degree of body invasive is quite high, resulting in lots of internal bleeding and bruises. These injuries require a long time to heal and the healing process is not without its discomfort.

Laser liposuction, on the other hand, minimize physical insertion by using laser technology. During the procedure, surgeons need only to open a tiny cut in the problem areas. A small laser device is then inserted into the body after which the surgeon will uses the heat from the laser to melt the fats. Once that is done, the laser device will be withdrawn and a second device will be inserted to suck the fats away.

This entire procedure is quicker than traditional liposuction and reduces the physical wounds that have to be open. As a result, patients have a much quicker recovery time and at a lessor discomfort level. This is one of key attractions of this new procedure.

Another related benefit is the reduced probability of leaving liposuction scars. As there are less physical wounds in laser liposuction, the chances of leaving scars is much lower. In contrast,  traditional liposuction creates more physical wounds, which in turn increases the chances of leaving these operational scars.

Prices wise, both techniques have similar pricing structure. For people thinking that laser liposuction will be cheaper, they will be disappointed. In fact, it can be more expensive due to the more expensive equipment being deployed.
