Making or breaking digital photography lies on lighting. Picture quality which is either rich or poor is determined by lighting. Digital cameras come with a light meter that is used to control the cameras light reflection. The photographer has the duty of selecting the light settings in regard to photography mode. Factors considered in lighting digital photography are the use of fill flash, angle of light and amount of shadows. Composition of photos is improved by light in low light situations. Digital photography is best in natural light. Due to sudden and unpredictable weather changes, natural light becomes inconsistent. In instances where photos look unusual due to lighting, they are given a natural balance by the white balance feature in digital cameras.
