Lil Boosie Mixtapes Help Promote Albums
January 18, 2010 – 4:08 pmThere are many people that live the street life and think that Lil Boosie mixtapes are better than most artists’ albums. In case you don’t know, a “mixtape” is a smaller project where a rap musician raps over the beats that were on the CD of another artist. It is not made to attack the other artist, rather than to serve as a way to build up some attention before a show or while doing a promotional tour. Many artists take the process of releasing a mixtape very seriously, even though they give them away for free nowadays. Back when rap music was first making a mark in society, these tapes were sold for a few dollars each.
Today most rap artists give out their music on mixes for free before they put out their album. Even though Lil Boosie albums are great too, there is some music that people are going to miss out on if they fail to stay updated with his mixtapes. Where can you get yourself a tape to listen to if they are available for free? Well, there are plenty of good blogs out there and even websites that specialize in providing downloads; it takes relatively little time to find what you need.
Some tapes that are regarded as classics include: “Streetz Iz Mine,” “Lil Boosieana,” “The Hood Champ,” and “Golden Child.” There are plenty more that are great as well and contain songs that will not be found anywhere on the albums. If you take any artist, like Lil Wayne for example, he has put out more mixtapes than any artist in the game and has been able to gain the most success from releasing all of the free material. Why would it help to put out songs for free? Mostly because when his album is released, more people will want to go out and buy it because the artist has been generously giving out free and completely original music to his fans.
