April 21, 2010

When you think about the preoccupation society has for both men and women to be thin, it is kind of surprising that girdles for men aren’t more popular among the men.  After all, women have been wearing them for centuries in the guise of appearing slimmer and the practice continues to this day.  Obviously, it’s an easy solution to knocking off a few sizes without the torture of going on a diet or the hassle of going to the gym. The idea of wearing a girdle might rank quite a bit lower than wearing mens thermal underwear as far as appeal is concerned, but recently, more and more men are considering this option.

Moreover, support underwear for men such as girdles do more than help one appear slimmer in their clothes.  It also has health purposes since that’s where these undergarments first originated.  Girdles were first worn amongst men for medical purposes to support backs and to promote proper posture.  Athletes wear girdles too to prevent injuries and to help stabilize weakened muscles.  It has only been recently that girdles for men have gone mainstream thanks in large part to metrosexuals.   These are a group of heterosexual men who push the fashion envelope for men without regard what anybody says.  Afterwards, the regular guys figured out that perhaps these support underwear aren’t so bad after all.  They are not frilly or effeminate but they are designed specifically with guys in mind with easy to access fly openings and all.

Therefore, if you need a quick solution to looking thin and slim, look no further than mens girdles.  It’s high time that men take advantage of the body shaping tricks used by women for centuries.  We are now in the twenty-first century and it is about time that men get over their hang ups in what is proper for men and women to wear.  After all, whose business is it what you wear underneath your clothes?  The deciding factor should be what makes you look good and that’s slimming girdles for men.
