A Review of Mercury and AIG Car Insurance

There are many reasons to purchase insurance on your auto. One of them is the fact that it is mandatory in most states. Some of the other reasons you may want to consider regarding the need for auto insurance are:  1) on the average, someone gets hurt in an auto accident every 11 seconds; 2) an auto accident happens every five seconds; and 3) a life-threatening injury happens every 12 minutes.

AIG Auto Insurance not only has more policyholders than most Commerce auto insurance companies but also is a member of American International Group. AIG Montgomery auto insurance deals mostly with owners of high-valued cars and their pricing benefits people owning these high-priced vehicles who are searching for special protection. AIG also offers insurance for states other than California.

Following are some of the protection that AIG offers it’s insured:  1) the deductibles are relinquished in situations of a total loss on your vehicle; 2) it provides an extra-vehicle discount meaning they provide discounts to people insuring more than one vehicle; 3) unlimited capacity which includes physical damage to regular-use autos, specialty vehicles and collector cars; and 4) agreed value means that your  auto is insured for a specific agreed-upon amount between AIG private client group and the owner.

AIG has other discounts including: 1) multi-policy which means you get a discount if you insure more than one auto; 2) senior discount for those who have reached the age of 55 years old and have a clean driving record; 3) auto rental reimbursement provides you with  a rental car if yours is in the shop for repairs due to an accident; 4) GAP coverage which pays the different between what remains on your auto loan and the value of the vehicle if totaled in an auto accident; and 5) accidental airbag deployment.

Regarding Mercury Auto Insurance, they have 24-hour claims service and they also will provide you with a list of approved auto repair shops with good reputations. Mercury also provides commercial insurance as well as auto insurance. Mercury allows you to pay your premium on line or at a local office.
