Neck pain is prevalent amongst the population now a day, however the good news is that there are a lot of things that you can do to reduce the chance that you will suffer from it. If you follow these 3 hot tips to prevent neck pain you will find that you both reduce your pain and stop it reoccurring in the future. Firstly you need to understand that one of the most common reasons that cause neck pain is your posture. Most of us are sitting at the desk the whole day and have our shoulder rounded and our heads forward. This is going to put a lot of strain onto the back of the neck and will cause a lot of pain short and long term. Follow these tips and you will be going a long way to prevent neck pain.

Stretch your trapezius and chest muscles during the day. As mentioned above your shoulders are rounded during the day and your neck forward and these are the muscles that will get tight and need stretching. This will both prevent and reduce any neck pain that you have.

Stand up straight. Your posture is important and you need to make sure that you do not hang your head forward when you are standing or sitting. This can place a lot of pressure onto the back of the neck.

Wake up in the morning and do not sit on the bed. First turn over onto your stomach and do a light back stretch. Prop yourself up onto your elbows and stretch out a few times. Sitting directly when you wake up will put pressure on the neck right away. There are many other neck pain exercises that you can do to help reduce your pain.

If you try to do these three tips on a daily basis you will reduce your neck soreness and help prevent it in the future.
