Many people may be wondering “What is the quickest way to lose weight?”  Well, that has a few different answers.  They may be detox diets and flushes that may work, but there are tow problems with such a solution.  The first problem is that these solutions aren’t safe and secondly, they won’t last long term.  You will be flushing vital nutrients and electrolytes that you need for your body to maintain in a healthy state, and such detoxes only address the symptoms, which is the weight, instead of addressing the full problem.

The key is to do proper exercise, coupled with a proper diet and you will lose weight quickly.  The first step with exercise is to not do as much cardio, and focus on strength training.  Using weights, or any type of resistance, helps to build up lean muscle mass.  You may be worried because muscle weighs more than fat.  Well, if you are burning fat during workouts, if you have more lean muscle mass then you will be burning more fat when you aren’t working out too.  That is the key to true and fast weight loss.  You won’t become big and bulky like a bodybuilder, but you will tone your muscles and burn some fat.

Lastly, nutrition is also an important step.  many people try to starve themselves hoping to lose weight but that actually has the reverse effect.  Your body switches into survival mode because it doesn’t know when it will get any more food, so it holds onto all of the fat you do have. Then, if you do eat anything, your body will actually store that.  If you watch your calories and limit your junk food intake, then you can still eat throughout the day, and lose weight at the same time.  Moderation is the key to weight loss, especially fast weight loss.
