Panic attack is caused due to sudden feelings like fear or anxiety which can make people behave in an unusual way. They may experience heart attacks or they may tend to faint or may experience numbness or some difficulty in breathing. These panic attacks will lead to serious health problems.

A panic attack is related to a sympathetic nervous system. The other kinds of symptoms are heart palpitations, breathlessness, chest pain or trembling. The most important symptoms are shortness of breath and severe chest pain. The sufferer generally feels these symptoms as heart attack.

Some of the major causes that are the main roots to create panic attacks can be traced to anxiety. It is because of psychological effects and anxieties that panic attacks are caused. There are many kinds of reason which causes panic attacks; it can be due to excessive secretion of hormones in the body. Especially, hormones like adrenaline and nonadrenaline when secreted more than the normal levels will lead to panic attacks.

Very significant signs that are shown as symptoms for panic attacks are sweating, short breathing, chest pain, palpitation, abdominal discomfort, feeling dizzy, faint, fear of death, nausea, vomiting and getting detached from others.

People experience fear that they are dying or suffocating. This leads to chest pain or sometimes they feel the symptoms of heart attack. Certain events in the life can also influence such disorders. If a person is undergoing such disorders very often, then he/she may have to consult a doctor.

Internal problems in the body like over activities can also influence the sympathetic nervous system that can create lot of problems. Even strenuous activities or working under stress will affect the sympathetic nervous system from which several nerves are connected to the heart. If this part of the system has more activity, it can excite the heart which leads to chest pain or palpitations in the heart. All the symptoms like short breathing, sweating, chest pain, nausea and vomiting are caused due to hyper activeness of the heart.

Treatment for the symptoms of panic attacks involves medication to decrease the excessive stimulation of hormones like adrenaline or nonadrenaline which is responsible for causing anxiety disorders. Some antianxiety drugs are given as the drugs to reduce the hormone secretion.

There are other kinds of treatments for panic attack symptoms which include relaxation exercises, breathing exercises, psychotherapy and counselling. These are someways by which one can get rid of panic attacks.
