Due to advances in technology, there are a number of new laser based treatments being introduced into the market in recent times. These treatments cover almost many kinds of problems including skin resurfacing (fraxel laser treatment), fats removal (laser liposuction), stretch mark removal etc. Among these treatments, one of the more recent procedure is called zerona laser. It is a new body contouring treatment that has been touted as an alternative to liposuction. For more information about this new technique, read on.

Zerona laser uses a rather innovative approach to body contouring. Using advanced laser technology, zerona will stimulate the fatty acids in the patient’s body such that they will migrate to the empty spaces between normal cell. This is done so that the fatty acids can then be removed via our body discharge, rather than through surgery insertions that will not only be painful but also requires a long recovery period.

In terms of cost, zerona laser is much cheaper than what a normal patient needs to pay. On average, a typical tumescent liposuction will cost around USD5,700. In contrast, the average price for a complete zerona liposuction treatment is only USD2,000 to USD2,200. This represents more than 50% difference between their prices and is one of the strong reason for there is such high interest in zerona laser treatment.

However, despite the benefits that zerona can convey, you need to understand that it is not for everybody. Zerona laser is the most effective if you have a healthy body and wants to get rid of some stubborn fats that have been proven to be resistant to normal exercising. It is not going to help you if you are seriously overweight. For these group of people, traditional liposuction will be much more effective as it can remove a larger amount of fats within one surgery.

One of our personal pet peeves in regards to cosmetic surgery is that whenever people discuss the subject, they always accentuate the positive while downplaying the potential risks.  Unfortunately, not only is this frustrating, it can also be dangerous as well.  Therefore, this section is going to focus on why you as a potential consumer of cosmetic surgery must be educated.

At this point, you may be thinking we are blowing things out of proportion.  We truly do not think so.  Let’s discuss why.

The simple fact is a tummy tuck has a myriad of probable complications, which range from the minor (such as bruising and swelling) to the extremely severe (such as death).  With such a huge range of possibilities, you would think every tummy tuck surgeon would emphasize the potential risks and the precautions they take to mitigate them.

However, this is not the case.  When my wife and I went for a tummy tuck consultation, all we heard from the surgeon was how he was going to dramatically improve my wife’s appearance.

He did not once describe any of the safety precautions he was going to take (by the way, he also was quite resistant whenever it came to the subject of how much does a tummy tuck cost).  In addition to never addressing the precaution, he didn’t mention a single tummy tuck risk.

As you can imagine, my wife and I hightailed it out of that surgeon’s office as quick as we could.  We both believe that if a surgeon is unwilling to address the risks of this surgery and the safety precautions he or she takes, we were not going to be comfortable with him or her.  So we kept looking.

Fortunately, we found the New Jersey Tummy Tuck Guide and were able to find the perfect cosmetic surgeon for my wife’s situation.
