garage floor resurfacer

Do you have stains from dripping oil on your garage floor?  Are there chips and divots where sharp objects have been dropped?  Are there cracks just waiting to get bigger and bigger over the years?  If so then you need to apply a garage floor resurfacer and seal the floor surface from further damage while improving the looks today.

A big oil stain in the middle of your concrete floor not only is ugly, it looks like you just don’t care, but it also can be very dangerous.  If a little rain water or snow melt gets on that spot and then you step on it you will quickly know what the term, “My feet went out from underneath me,” means.  Thousands of people every year suffer major brain injury and even death by falling on a hard surface like concrete.  Don’t let this happen to you.

The best way to deal with a concrete resurfacing project is to apply a product like quikrete epoxy garage floor coating.  I have reviewed other products but this one seems to blend ease of application with longevity and good looking results the best.  An epoxy is a very hard material, even harder than concrete, which is formed when two ingredients are mixed together.  The resins and the hardener are both liquid until they are combined and then within a few minutes they start to cure and form a very tough and durable surface.

This is exactly the process which forms fiberglass and you know how hard a fiberglass boat hull must be.  The only difference is a free standing fiberglass item needs to have woven mesh applied for the structural strength.  On a floor surface, the concrete itself acts as the support and the epoxy is just used as protection.

When choosing which epoxy coating to use you also have options as to what color you want your floor.  There are several base colors available as well as color paint chips which can be cast over the surface to either compliment or offset the colors of the base coat.

Look into protecting your garage floor today with quikrete garage floor coatings.
