sell your timeshare

A timeshare calendar is very useful in determining when you’ll find the best rate for your vacation. Almost all timeshares will have a period of weeks and months that are high, low and peak season. Picking out a date for a vacation that is off peak times will save you money or points and still be a great vacation. You just have to be careful and plan ahead for your trip.

Using a timeshare calendar can also help you determine value if you’re looking to sell your timeshare. It’s hard to determine a value of something you already pay for, since you know how much you’re willing to pay for it. But, you can use a timeshare calendar to determine market prices for timeshares for all different times of the year. This is especially useful to see what the peak period is in an area you are unfamiliar with. You can also check things like which holidays fall into which timeshare weeks.

If you’re looking to rent a timeshare yourself, you can use the calendar to determine the best times to vacation. Prices vary from year to year, and month to month, and even by the city or area you’d like to visit. If you’re unsure when you want to go, but have a destination in mind, you can use a timeshare calendar to determine the best times to take a vacation to save money and find openings.

A timeshare calendar is a great tool for buyers and sellers, because it can give you an idea of what prices should or shouldn’t be for an area during a particular time of year. If you find a place you’d like to rent, it’s important to check the prices for an area and time to make sure that bargain you thought you had, truly is a bargain. It also helps speed up sales by giving you an average of the selling prices for times of the year so you can determine what a good selling price would be. If a property isn’t selling or getting offers, then it might be beyond the range that people are looking to pay in that area during that season.

Deciding between Independent Living and Elderly Assisted Living can be a difficult task.  Learn the facts about both options so that you can make a wise choice.

The simplest way to describe the difference between Independent Living and Assisted Living lies in the definitions of the words, themselves. “Independent” means “alone,” or “by yourself.”  The word “assisted” means “with help.”

The Freedom of Independent Living

Independent living can be a wonderful experience for seniors, provided that they are able to perform most daily tasks by themselves.  These include basic things like getting up in the morning, getting dressed, taking care of personal hygiene, simple meal preparation, eating and socializing.  However, Independent Living can also include some services that support these activities. For example, many Senior Independent Living communities provide weekly transportation to grocery stores and doctor appointments.  Some offer one meal a day or more, and most have numerous social activities set up for their residents.  They are not exactly going to take you off on a luxurious vacation to a timeshare resort, but you get the idea.

The Security of Assisted Living

When someone is not able to live independently any more, Assisted Living can be a welcome option.  Most Assisted Living facilities provide three meals daily and they often dispense medications to residents. Frequently, the staff checks on residents to guarantee their well-being. There are usually many, and more structured activities than there are with Independent Living.  More staff is available, as some seniors may need help with dressing, bathing, and moving around.  When a person moves into an Assisted Living community, an assessment is done with family members present to determine what help is needed and in which areas.  Most families are relieved and happy to know that their loved one is safe and secure with many people around to help.  Obviously, Assisted Living is more expensive than Independent Living.  Perhaps it is time to sell your timeshare and settle down after all!

Which Community to Choose?

When considering Independent Living or Assisted Living, the differences are fairly clear.  The choice depends on the needs and wants of the person who will be moving into the community.  If it is your role to help an aging parent or friend with this decision, you can be supportive by helping to gather information and visiting the facilities that are available.
