small portable printer

The advancement of technology greatly speeds up the process of creating portable gadgets out of existing desktop machines. However, despite all the number of machines they converted to portable gadgets, computers, telephones, etc., they have not been able to create a portable version of an A3 laser printer. Since there are not any portable A3 laser printers, we need to see if an A3 laser printer is fit for traveling, to fit in portable lifestyles of various people.

An A3 laser printer is normally large because of the way it prints. It employs a xerographic process that uses a drum as a photoreceptor. Unfortunately, these drums are relative to the size of the paper they are printing. If ordinary laser printers are large, you can expect A3 laser printers to be larger. This is already true even if they are monochrome laser printers. If you consider colored laser printers, they are even larger because of the additional toners for 4 different colors. The size alone is enough to answer the question at hand. There aren’t any A3 printers that come in portable sizes, let alone A3 laser printers.

Suppose we say there are A3 laser printers that come in portable sizes, will they still be fit for traveling? There are inkjet printers that have internal batteries that allow them to be used even without being plugged in. This means that their normal operation can be sustained by batteries. However, in the case of laser printers, it has a heating element that heats up in order to fuse the ink to the paper. When elevating temperature is involved, no battery can sustain this process. This is why there are no such things as ovens or freezers that run on batteries. They need an AC type of power in order to produce this effect. With this kind of requirement for laser printers, they need to be plugged in all the time when being used. In other words, you can’t stick a battery in it and continue to print.

If you take away all the things that stop the A3 laser printer from being a portable gadget, if you take away the size, if you add a battery, and assuming if it is still functional, it certainly would be a great asset to travelers. The primary customers would be businessmen and salesmen. They have a need for printing that most laser printers provide. Laser printers provide crisp quality texts and they do this with great speed. Add the capability of printing in A3 sizes and you have a powerful portable gadget.

To put it simply, A3 laser printers are not fit for traveling. However, they will certainly be very useful if they come in portable sizes. Imagine all the stuff you can do if you take it along on trips. However, because it is impractical to bring them along, A3 laser printers will have to serve you from the desk at home, or at the office.

Teenagers are always showing off what they got. Some show what skills they have on the guitar. Some show off with their dancing or tumbling skills. There also those teenagers that show off what kind of gadgets they have. With the Canon Pixma IP100 mobile photo printer, he can be the talk of the town for having his very own printer with him. Reports are never a problem since it has the power of printing out text at 20 pages per minute.

However, when you’re a teenager, you always have to show the best of what you have. So you show off that this printer can create realistic pictures with its 9600 x 2400 dots per inch resolution. Impressing your friends by printing photos with your phone instead of a computer is even a bonus since you can use the infrared interface. Better yet, you can access it via Bluetooth.

Unlike cars, for boys, what’s hot in electronic gadgets is not always, what’s big. Rather it’s the smaller size that matters. Sometimes the smaller ones are the hot ones. With this printer, you get a sleek printer that easily slides in your backpack and the power to print high-resolution photos. It is both portable and highly functional. Now every teenage boy would like to show off this one.

Now, being one of the small printers for travel is not exactly going to make this into a teenage girl’s “must have” list. The quality of pictures that this printer makes is enough for them to drool over this printer. With Canon’s patent printer head that shoots out 1-picoliter droplets, printing high quality photos will be an experience like no other, not to mention all the scrapbooking they will be able to make.

Now just because it said that this is an ideal teen’s printer, it does not mean that this printer is not intended for grownups. In fact, grownups can even find more uses for this one. With a car adapter, you can even take this printer out and print some nice scenery while you’re taking pictures with your PictBridge-enabled camera. Alternatively, you can get pictures of yourself from anywhere in the world and send it right away. After all, you can print borderless photos with it, which would make a really good postcard.

Going back to the main topic, this printer is a great printer for teens. So if you have a teenager in the house. Why not consider this one as a present? At a price of $250, you get to hit two birds with one stone. They get a printer that can be very easy to take to school, and they get to have fun printing stuff. Although it would be a good idea to tell them that, it is intended for their papers. Everything else is a bonus.
