It will come as no surprise to you to learn that the UK is built up of four different counties – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each of these countries has something very different to offer so if you’re thinking of visiting the UK choose your destinations to suit what you would like to experience. If you want to admire some scenery in the UK then here are the best places to visit in each of the countries that make up the UK:
England
If you’re visiting the UK in the summer then one of the best places to visit is the South West – life runs at a different place down there, they have beautiful beaches and rolling hills. Holiday cottages are the accommodation of choice in this area and you will be spoilt for choice.
Wales
If you fancy seeing some scenery and mountains are your thing, try taking a holiday to North Wales – Snowdonia is particularly nice all year round (in terms of scenery – you may not be so lucky with the weather.) There’s variety of holiday accommodation to choose from here that ranges from camping and caravanning though to luxurious holiday cottages.
Scotland
Scotland is one of my favourite places to visit – it’s rugged and wild and is quite similar to North Wales but on a grander scale. You can walk for hours without seeing a soul if you choose. Log cabins are the accommodation to go for when visiting the rural areas of Scotland – many of them are situated at the edge of lochs so you are guaranteed to wake up to beautiful views regardless of the weather.
Northern Ireland
If you like scenery but also wanted to do some activities there is no better place the Fermanagh Lakelands. The landscape is fantastic and if you like water sports you’re in for a treat. B&B’s, cottages and camping all feature highly in the types of accommodation on offer in this area of Northern Ireland.
