Wiz Khalifa, the Pittsburgh native, has received much acclaim with his hip hop music. He attributes his motivation to artists like Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G. and other rap hip hop talents. His career began in 1993 with the release of his freshmen mixtape, Welcome to Pistolvania, that drew the attention of Rolling Stone. This led to his first album, Show and Prove.
